Introduction
Thank you for visiting the Frome Valley Parish Council website. We hope that it give you the information you need or clear guidance as to where it may be found
Frome Valley Parish Council is the lowest level of English local government for the area with the higher level now being the unitary authority Dorset Council which has replaced the former Dorset County Council and West Dorset District Council. Go to our Useful Links page for connections to the websites for these higher local government authorities plus associated Rural Services. On the same page you will also find links to Public Services (e.g. Police, Ambulance, Fire, etc). In addition will find links to the websites for Local Villages. Please note that Frome Valley Parish Council is not involved in the arrangements associated with the parish churches. The churches within the locality are run by their respective Parochial Church Councils within the overall management of the Melbury Team of Ministers and Lay members. So again please go to our Useful Links page for links to the website for the Melbury Team and another website giving information on Historic Dorset Churches that includes information on the churches within the Council area.
